Our Pan Head Security Machine Screws are the snake eye design, sometimes called Spanner Screws. They have several names like Panhead Machine screws, and Slotted Panhead Screws, but are usually called 'Snake Eye' as they have a two-dot drive system that is installed with a spanner bit. Our ranges are available in a stainless-steel finish.
Pan Heads are a raised type of head which has a flat, level underside to it. Round Head fixings were designed for fixing against metal surfaces, but they are commonly used to fix to a variety of rigid surfaces. Panhead Screws (like m4), are the most commonly used fixings in applications where a flush finish is not a necessity.
Why use Security Screws?
Security Screws are machine bolts that are generally used to deter removal (often for safety purposes) or to prevent theft. They are commonly found in public conveniences, schools, prisons; on cars, boats, public transport; and in electrical items.
