Silver Steel
Silver Steel is a polished, ground, round bar of steel. It is available in 304mm (1 foot) lengths.
The name of silver steel comes from its polished finish, but it actually contains no silver. Silver steel rods are hard-wearing and easy to machine and shape. They are also well known for their ability to maintain a sharp edge, so much so that they are sometimes used to make razor blades. Silver steel is also commonly used to make hand tools such as punches and blades for screwdrivers.
