Expanding Foam

Expanding foam is an extremely versatile filler that expands and hardens on contact with air. We stock the Everbuild Fix and Fill foam in a 750ml handheld can option and we also stock the Everbuild gun grade foam in a 700ml can.

Both of these products expand up to 50 times the original can content when applied. After curing has occurred, the hardened foam can be cut, sawn, plastered and sealed over. Expanding foam cures best when applied to damp surfaces, so when using it in dry areas the substrate in question should first be sprayed with a fine mist of water.

Using expanding foam

Expanding foam is used as a gap filler, a sealant and an insulator. It is perfect for use in cavities, hollows and irregular gaps.

For larger applications use choose the gun grade and buy a foam gun – this will give you much better control and it is easier to use. For one-off smaller jobs the handheld option is fine.

This product is so versatile that is always worth keeping on site for any new build or house renovation work.

Here’s a tip from us – expanding foam can be messy, so always wear the gloves provided and leave any foam to cure before cleaning (approximately 1 hour). Any foam that has found its way into unwanted areas will be much easier to clean when cured. Use our Everbuild wonder wipes for a multitude of cleaning options.
