Drop in Anchors
Drop in anchors, also known as wedge anchors, are internally (female) threaded anchors used for anchoring items into solid concrete – not brick or blockwork.
The anchor size refers to the inside diameter of the anchor. The drill size required for the hole is the same size as the outside diameter of the anchor. Once drilled, all dust should be removed from the hole using a vacuum, pump or compressor. This is to ensure correct fastening.
